Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama Visitor Building
建築内装の素材・要素と下山の檜の美意識をシームレスに融合し、地元の環 境と共鳴する要素を取り入れた。
建築空間の質感とゆるやかに調和するために、サインの本体は下山の檜でミニマルに展開し、グラフィックも内観の要素に合わせて線で表現した。人々を導きながら、下山の豊かな自然環境を想起する事と地域のアイデンティティへの取り組みを強調する。
The materials and elements of the interior seamlessly integrate with the aesthetic appreciation of Shimoyama's Hinoki, incorporating elements that resonate with the local environment.
In order to harmonize with the texture of the architectural space, the sign is simplified and crafted from Shimoya's Hinoki. The graphics are expressed with lines to complement the interior. The Sign not only guides people but also evokes the natural environment of Shimoya, emphasizing commitment to the region's identity.
下山の檜の繊細さと洗練さを表す
下山の檜を活用し、木のピクトグラムの製作上の限界値を探求した。情報内容を簡易化しながら、視認性を損なうことなく、優雅さと洗練さを引き出すために線を巧みに用い、木の本質的な繊細さを明らかにした。
The Delicacy and Refinement of Shimoya's Hinoki
Shimoya's Hinoki was harnessed to explore the limits of crafting wood pictograms. Employing lines and simplifying the content without compromising legibility and visibility brought out elegance and refinement, while also revealing the inherent delicacy of wood.
