This signage plan was developed for a training facility operated by Nippon Rietec Co., Ltd., a company that supports the foundations of society through infrastructure projects involving railways, roads, power transmission facilities, and other essential systems.
Inspired by the company’s role in connecting social infrastructure from city to city, the design draws on visual references such as railway maps and circuit diagrams. A graphic language composed of points and lines extends throughout the building, creating a spatial identity that reflects the character of Nippon Rietec.
From the central atrium, these interconnected graphic elements can be viewed across multiple layers of the building, revealing the network-like character of the design. This visual continuity helps create an accessible and intuitive environment that is easy to navigate for everyone visiting the facility, including trainees experiencing it for the first time.
By expressing the identity of the company throughout the space, the design seeks to create an environment that inspires trainees to recognize the significance of their work and take pride in the role they play in supporting society.
