ニセコ楽水山

「楽水山」の客室サインは、18の棟を4つの大きなブロックに分けて春夏秋冬の名前をつけた。
言語や習慣の違う海外からの多くのゲストが、日本の四季を色によって表現した襲(重)色目のサインを見ることによって、その色の妙を感じ、緩やかに場を認知できるものとした。古来からの花鳥風月を感じる現代の和の伝達表現を目指した。

The guestroom signage at “Raku Suisan” divides the 18 buildings into four larger blocks, each named after one of the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
For the many international guests from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, the signage draws on the traditional Japanese concept of kasane-iro, the layering of colors associated with the seasons. Through these colors, guests can experience the subtle beauty of Japan’s seasonal palette while gradually becoming aware of their surroundings.
The design aims to create a contemporary Japanese form of visual communication that evokes the traditional Japanese appreciation of flowers, birds, the wind, and the moon.
