To mark Kawasaki City’s 100th anniversary, the newly transformed City Hall expresses the city’s diversity through sign graphics throughout its interior spaces. With the support of Kawasaki City, photographs were solicited from citizens, capturing a wide range of scenes from everyday life across the city. The collected images were cropped into narrow, slit-like sections and integrated into the sides of the signs. The varied colors and scenes woven throughout the signage create a distinctive visual identity for this new civic landmark, offering visitors an evocative experience of Kawasaki’s diversity.
