「陽だまり」のイメージである床パターンは、100メートルに及ぶ講義棟内の長い廊下において、パターンや色によって講義室、化粧室、EVホール、ラウンジなど目的とする様々な場所へと誘い、場を顕在化させるアクティブな空間を創出している。また、「陽の光」のイメージであるガラス面の斜めのグラフィックパターンは、講義室と廊下を緩やかに目隠しとして緩衝させる要素や衝突防止としても機能している。
床面のパターンをはじめとした施設内の造形エレメントには、薬学部ならではのベンゼン環の化学構造式を模した六角形をベ ースとしたフォルムを使用し、薬学という専門分野の独自性を高めている。

The Light and Shadow of Rippling Water Reflected Across the Campus

Inspired by the image of sunlight filtering through a sheltered spot, the floor patterns create an active spatial experience along the 100-meter-long corridor of the lecture building. Variations in pattern and color guide visitors toward different destinations, including lecture rooms, restrooms, elevator halls, and lounges, while making each space more visually identifiable.
Diagonal graphic patterns applied to the glass surfaces, inspired by rays of sunlight, softly screen the lecture rooms from the corridor, creating a gentle buffer between the two spaces. They also serve a practical function by helping prevent collisions with the glass.
The geometric elements throughout the facility, including the floor patterns, are based on hexagonal forms inspired by the chemical structure of the benzene ring—a distinctive motif associated with the School of Pharmacy. This approach reinforces the identity and uniqueness of the facility as a space dedicated to pharmaceutical sciences.
